In a wide-ranging interview on Brice and Bianucci, Raiders insider Q Myers gave listeners an inside look at the Raiders’ draft decisions and team direction—while also weighing in on the NFL’s latest off-field drama involving coaching legend Bill Belichick.

Ashton Jeanty: The Raiders’ New Offensive Catalyst

The Raiders used the No. 6 overall pick on Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, and Myers is bullish on what he could bring to the team immediately.

“With Ashton Jeanty, if he’s the guy that everyone believes he’s going to be—the guy that we saw at Boise State just absolutely dominate—I think that he opens up the whole offense for everybody and just makes things a lot easier, especially on Geno Smith. So I’m looking at a twelve hundred, thirteen hundred-yard season for Jeanty and double-digit touchdowns.”

Jeanty’s presence could help unlock the Raiders offense, giving Pete Carroll a key piece to build around as he installs his physical, run-focused scheme in Las Vegas.

Why the Raiders Passed on Shedeur Sanders

Myers also addressed the surprising decision to pass on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who many projected as a first-round pick but fell to the fifth round.

Though Myers viewed Sanders as a potential face-of-the-franchise, the Raiders opted to prioritize other needs. Myers acknowledged speculation around Tom Brady’s role in that decision but emphasized Brady has denied any involvement. That denial was publicly addressed by Brady after sports commentator Skip Bayless stirred rumors.

Pete Carroll’s Culture Shift

Pete Carroll’s arrival signals a shift toward discipline and long-term team-building. Myers highlighted the importance of culture and Carroll’s track record of maximizing young talent—a theme consistent with the Raiders’ 2025 draft class.

Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson: “It’s Like a Reality Show”

Switching gears, Myers didn’t hold back when asked about the strange turn of events surrounding former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and his much-publicized relationship with 24-year-old Jordan Hudson.

“He’s been so dry and so matter-of-fact and all about football, and it just seems like this whole thing is just kind of gone off the rails. It’s almost like a reality show in front of our eyes—and that we’re filming with our own eyes. It’s really wild. I mean, to the point where you have former Patriots coming out and saying that they should fire him. It’s like, what is going on?

So, I feel like this is really kind of low control and that he needs to take a step back, his girl needs to take a step back—they need to hit the reset button and say, ‘Okay, hold on, let’s just calm down, let’s get it together, and figure out what we’re doing moving forward.’ Because this ain’t it.”
